This burly aluminum box houses a 2kw PLANAR diesel heater. Made with cold weather camping in mind, this heater will keep you warm and cozy throughout the night.
Its sturdy construction ensures that it can handle the rigors of your off-road journeys, providing you with reliable warmth whenever you need it.
The weatherproof aluminum enclosure is fabricated in Bellingham, WA using 1/8″ 5051 Aluminum which is both strong and weather resistant.
Inside the enclosure is an integrated 1 gallon diesel fuel tank & fill cap, which will run the heater for approximately 16 hours on a low setting.
The Planar Heater’s thermostat is connected to the enclosure with a waterproof connector and can be controlled from inside your camper or tent. The heater’s thermostat allows you to easily adjust the temperature to your preference and turn the heater on and off.
A 12V DC supply must be connected to the enclosure with an included 10′ cord and waterproof connector to provide power to the heater while running.
The included cam-lock dust caps keep water and dust from entering the heater unit, allowing the enclosure to be exposed to the elements without worry.
The hot air outlet is quickly coupled to a 3″ duct with an included cam-lock connector. This duct supplies clean, dry heat to your camper, tent or boat. The combustion exhaust exits the enclosure from the 1″ exhaust port.
The GROUND model has no slots in the base of the box, nor included mounting tabs to fasten the box to your vehicle roof rack. This model is intended to be placed on the ground or other flat surface outside of the area you are heating. The box must be placed flat while running to due to the fuel fill cap orientation. The fuel cap is opened partially while the heater is running to allow the fuel tank to vent. When not in operation, the cap may be closed completely allowing the box to be oriented however with no fuel spillage.
